Devin and Shawnee’s engagement session at the Vancouver Art Gallery was a perfect blend of city sophistication and modern romance. Between the gallery’s grand architecture and the energy of downtown Vancouver, their session had the feel of a romantic movie. With Shawnee’s elegant Shona Joy gown and a spontaneous Carrie Bradshaw moment as she crossed the street, every frame was effortlessly chic.
The LOCATION
The Vancouver Art Gallery is a dream setting for a luxury engagement session. Its grand rotunda with original floral moldings, and central downtown location create a striking contrast between old-world elegance and contemporary city life.
The day
A perfect rainy morning in the city, this session embraced both the classic grandeur of the venue and the stylish energy of downtown Vancouver.
We toured the gallery, beginning with some drama on the rotunda before making our way through their favourite exhibits for some intimate moments. The rain eased just as we were saying our goodbyes, and we couldn’t help but capture some effortlessly chic moments outside the Hotel Vancouver, as they headed out for coffees at their favourite cafe—an elegant end to a morning that felt straight out of a movie.
